Providing individualized therapy that creates a space where you can feel safe and heard. Learning ways to balance the need for both acceptance and change to create a life worth living
For a moment, think about the beautiful lotus flower that grows in parts of Asia and Northern Australia. Do you know what they need to grow? It’s not just sunlight; mud is also necessary to the process of growth. As humans, it can be hard to accept that metaphorical mud is needed to push us forward. Maybe the mud for you is a life transition or maybe it is a struggle you have grown up with or a diagnosis you received. The grand question is, how do you exist with the mud that can seem to bring ugliness and difficulty?
As a therapist, I am not the expert on your life. I take the perspective that I am a guide on your journey towards healing and growth. Sometimes we hit a dark patch in our journey and we need assistance to find our way again. You have all that you need, my aim is to help you see that, and to fortify areas that need strengthening so that you can push through the mud and rise into the light.
For over 12 years, I've found purpose with a passion in the social service/mental health field. My experience ranges from inpatient psychiatric care to outpatient therapy services.
I completed a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in social work, with an emphasis on clinical social work (case management, advocacy, as well as therapy). In Washington, I'm an associate licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of Washington.
I take an eclectic approach with my clients. This grants me the space to build a personalized plan with you on how we will move you closer towards your goals. In my office questions are always welcome.
If I'm not in the office, I'm taking a yoga class, connecting with family and friends, or maybe planning my next stop at a dance performance, play, or live music.

Imagine getting a chance to create goals in collaboration to get the growth you want. It takes work, but you won't be alone. Primary methods include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems with other somatic and cognitive therapy styles being utilized as appropriate.

These sessions are helpful for almost any stage of your relationship. I incorporate both my training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as the Gottman Method. This creates an approach that uses assessment and skill development while still being mindful of emotional needs.

Over 12 years ago I had my first brush with breastfeeding. As a therapist, I’d love to tell you a soothing story about how my daughter and I found a deep connection through breastfeeding, that all was well in my world because of the natural balance I found feeding her from my own body.
